The Security Forces Command (Turkish: Güvenlik Kuvvetleri Komutanlığı) is the armed forces charged with ensuring security within the unrecognised Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
The GKK should not be confused with the Turkish Military Forces in Northern Cyprus as the former is made up of local conscripts and the latter made of soldiers who are part of the mainland turkish armed forces.
Uniforms[]
The uniforms worn by the GKK is heavily inspired by those of the Turkish army although it maintain a number of distinctive emblems.
The following table of insignias is based on a number of separate online photographic sources and while it appear to largely follow Turkish rank progression, only those with a (*) have been verified the rest being interpolation based on a list of pay grades.
Note that while the colours of the insignia in dress uniform makes it easy to tell Northern Cyprian and Turkish enlisted troops apart from each other, the insignias in their subdued form are nearly identical.
